Abu Garcia ® is starting a revolution with the new REVO
series of series of low-profile baitcast reels, the fastest
low-profile reel Abu Garcia has ever designed.
The tough REVO is packed with innovative features, including
a DuragearTM oversized brass main gear for maximum cranking
power and the innovative Carbon MatrixTM Drag System for
incredible smoothness across all drag settings. The reel also is
designed with aluminum components for light-weight performance
and lasting durability.
The Linear Magnetic Brake system found on the SX and STX
models allow anglers a wide range of adjustments to fine tune
the reel for any application. In addition, the STX model
features an Everslik coated pinion shaft and pawl, which
dramatically reduces friction for enhanced casting while
improving the durability of these components. The STX also
features the innovative Infini Spool system, which is separated
from the drive train, minimizes friction for optimal performance
– even with the lightest tackle.
Built tough with Abu Garcia’s traditional Swedish engineering,
the REVO is ideal for nearly all freshwater applications, from
casting crankbaits or spinnerbaits to pitching and flipping
softbaits.
The new All Star Platinum Series Rods feature an ultra-thin
blank with a super fast taper that delivers unequaled power and
cast control. Platinum rods are constructed of our advanced
formula high modulus graphite that delivers the lightest,
strongest and most sensitive rod blank available. Rod actions
are available in the most popular casting, spinning and inshore
models.
Features include: high modulus graphite blanks; light-weight
and corrosion-resistant Fuji Alconite guides and black frames;
light-weight graphite reel seats with cushioned stainless steel
hoods; casting models feature SensaTouch reel seats for
increased sensitivity; premium cork handles and stainless steel
hook keepers. All are made in the USA.
Daiwa’s TD Zillion Baitcasters Offers Blazing 7.1 to 1
Retrieve
Just introduced are four new Team Daiwa® Zillion™ baitcasting
reels from Daiwa. Right- and left-hand retrieve models are
available in either an all-purpose 6.3 to 1 retrieve or, of
special note, a super high-speed 7.1 to 1 version.
In 1986, Daiwa introduced bass anglers to the world’s first
baitcasting reel with an unbelievably fast 7.1 to 1 retrieve
ratio – the PT33SH – a reel still available today.
Now Daiwa has brought that same “warp-speed” concept into a
modern, compact design, adding today’s latest technology for
superior casting and line control. Another noteworthy Team Daiwa
Zillion baitcaster feature is the new Swept Handle. Both sides
of the handle sweep back slightly towards the reel, moving the
paddles closer to the reel’s center line (closer to the rod).
This helps eliminate wobble of the rod and reel in your hand as
you crank, allowing the energy you put onto the handle to be
converted more efficiently into a powerful retrieve.
Key features of the new TD Zillion reels include:
Choice of ultra-fast 7.1 to 1 or
all-purpose 6.3 to 1 retrieves
Six ball bearings (including CRBB
anti-corrosion bearings) plus roller bearing
Swept handle for better feel, less wobble
and greater winding power
Free-floating perforated aluminum spool
Infinite Anti-Reverse
Fast spool change
Magforce®-Z automatic anti-backlash system
Eight-disc wet drag with precision click
adjustment

Team Daiwa Tierra spinning reels incorporate state-of-the-art
features for superior smoothness, durability and fish-fighting
power. Every Team Daiwa Tierra reel boasts a rigid aluminum
body, an ABS aluminum spool and a super strong, yet lightweight
tubular stainless Air Bail®. Inside, a total of eight ball and
roller bearings (including corrosion-fighting CRBB bearings)
ensure smooth, reliable performance under all conditions – even
in the harsh marine environment. Daiwa’s exclusive Digigear™
design ensures that the gears – designed and machined for
optimum efficiency – are held in precise alignment at all times.

feature powerful yet ultra-sensitive IM-7 blanks, Daiwa’s X-Treme
guide system with Fuji® “New Concept” aluminum oxide guides, and
genuine Fuji® reel seats. Each rod also features a “direct
contact” casting grip cut-out that lets you stay in constant
touch with the sensitive blank and detect the slightest pick-up.

Quantum® Adds “Burner” Model to Energy Baitcast Series
By popular demand, Quantum has added a new high-speed
“Burner” model, the E770PT, to its Energy baitcast reel series.
The reel’s blistering 7.0:1 gear ratio gobbles up an incredible
28.8 inches of line for every one full turn of the handle. The
retrieve is almost 3 inches more line per turn than achieved
with high-speed 6.3:1 reels. That’s a foot more of line in just
four turns.
The high-speed Burner model was previously only available in
Quantum’s top of the line Tour Edition baitcast reels.
Along with the new gearbox design comes another bonus
feature, the Dual-Bearing Continuous Anti-Reverse ™ Clutch. Now
two bearings serve what was previously a shared function by one
bearing. A support bearing keeps the spool shaft in perfect
alignment, while a roller bearing provides instant lock-up
whenever the handle is stopped.
Other Energy PT baitcast reel features include a CNC machined
aluminum frame, sidecovers and front support; MaxCast® skeletal
spool; ceramic drag system; polymer-stainless hybrid 7 PT
bearing system; Ceramic-Zirconia level-wind design; extra hard
PT gears; and a cold forged screw-on handle. Cast control is
Quantum’s exclusive Infinite ACS externally adjustable
centrifugal braking system.
