Baitcasters
Daiwa has added two new
baitcasting reels to its revolutionary Steez™ series of bass
gear, both designed to accommodate heavier test lines for “power
fishing” situations.
Daiwa’s new STEEZ100HA and
mirror-image, left-hand retrieve STEEZ100HLA feature deeper
spools capable of holding 120 yards of 14-pound-test or 100
yards of 16-pound-test monofilament. This makes these incredibly
light yet super powerful reels ideal for applications like
working crankbaits, fishing topwater or flipping jigs in heavy
cover.
Thanks to their technologically
advanced design, Magnesium frames/sideplates and Titanium
components, both of the new Steez baitcasters weigh in at a mere
5.6 ounces.
Inside every Steez baitcaster are
eleven ball bearings plus a roller bearing for unsurpassed
smoothess and reliability. Long, precise, trouble-free casts are
ensured by the free-floating A7075 aluminum spool and Daiwa’s
exclusive Magforce®-Z magnetic anti-backlash system. When you
hook up, expect plenty of cranking power from the A7075 tempered
drive gear and phosphor bronze pinion, as well as flawless
performance from the eight-disc wet drag with precision click
adjustment. The STEEZ100HA and STEEZ100HLA baitcasters also
feature Daiwa’s Swept Handle design, which moves the paddles
closer to the rod’s centerline for less wobble in your hand as
you crank and a more powerful, efficient retrieve.
