Florida Trails Bassmasters

Florida Trails Bassmasters was started in 2003 and now we are 32 active members. We have come along way since then and hope to keep growing. We have had several members qualify for the B.A.S.S. Federated State Championship each year since 2003. The club fishes all over the Central Florida area. We are lucky to have all the lakes so close. The club fishes 12 tournaments a year, one being our club classic.

The club is very big in conservation and youth activities. We have worked on the Lake Toho draw down in 2004, and were the only Florida Club to participate. Also we work to clean up one area, Orange County Park as a regular project. We also participate yearly in the “Fish For Fun Of It “, this is a youth fishing event. It lets us interact with youth, showing and helping them learn to fish.

Florida Trails Bassmasters participates in the Bass Pro Shop Spring Fishing Classic each year with a booth. We do this as a regular membership drive and try and introduce bass fishing and the club life to the public. Our membership live, eat, and sleep bass fishing.

We have several members that fish other national trails. Among our goals is to get our club to be the second largest club in Florida to qualify members for the Nationals and so we might make it to the Bass Master Classic.

We are always looking for boaters and non-boaters. We meet once a month. Our web site is www.floridatrailsbassmasters.com.
