South Houston Bass Club

The South Houston Bass Club was formed in 1975 by a group of
men who shared the passion for bass fishing. We believe that we
are the oldest continually meeting bass club in Texas.
The club thrives today with a roster of 20 members. South
Houston fishes 10 tournaments a year — one every month, starting
in February and ending in November.
Tournaments usually start between 6 a.m. and 7 a.m. on
Saturday and the weigh-in is at noon on Sunday. Member’s
standings are based on a point system, one point per ounce of
fish weighed-in, plus bonus points for first, second, third
place, and big bass.

The top six fishermen of each year are eligible to fish the
“Top Six” tournament, at the expense of the club. We fish paper
tournaments, to reduce stress on the fish we catch.

The club is structured to make sure that any non-boating
member that wants to go fishing can go fishing.
