ABU GARCIA REVO SPINNING

Graphite light but with the strength of an all metal body, the new Revo® Premier spinning reel from Abu Garcia® is leaving the competition in its wake. NanoShieldTM technology is pioneering unmatched material’s properties for optimum reel performance by creating components that are up to 50% lighter than aluminum and up to 300% stronger than graphite.

Taken from the science and metallurgy of the nuclear power industry, NanoShield plating provides unmatched strength. The process creates a more complete and consistent plating making the spool and stem on the Revo Premier extremely rigid. The result, a lightweight spinning reel with heavy weight performance that eliminates torque of the reel stem when fighting an oversized fish. The NanoShield finish is resistant to corrosion, abrasion and cracking.

The reel has features that truly earn its place in the Revo family. 11 HPCR® (High Performance Corrosion Resistant) stainless steel bearings create not only an extremely smooth operation but add to the life of the reel. Stainless steel mainshaft and hardware, sealed Carbon MatrixTM Drag with 12-pound maximum setting and one-piece aluminum gear box strengthens gear alignment. The one-two punch of EverlastTM Bail System and Slow Oscillation create a smooth and reliable line retrieve operation.

Two models are offered. The PRM20 weighs 7.9 ounces, has a gear ratio of 5.1:1 spooling 27 inches of line per turn of the handle with a spool capacity of 130 yards of 8-pound test monofilament or 190 yards of 8-pound test Fireline®. Model PRM30 weighs 8.1 ounces, has a gear ratio of 5.8:1 spooling 33 inches of line per handle turn with a spool capacity of 140 yards of 10-pound test mono and 180 yards of 10-pound Fireline. The Revo Premier spinning reel can be configured for right- or left-hand retrieve. The MSRP is $249.95.

STREN BRUTE STRENGTH

Stren® is known for strong and reliable monofilament lines that have provided anglers with dependable quality since Stren Original® exploded onto the market decades ago. The new Stren Brute StrengthTM gives anglers the same inherent quality, but this line packs a bit more punch than the original. Nearly twice as strong as its label indicates, Brute Strength is in a class by itself.

Other extra strength monofilament lines can be fat, stiff and extremely difficult to cast. Stren Brute Strength is a whole new creature. Produced with a proprietary new co-polymer formula the line provides extra strength while remaining more flexible and easier to cast. Brute Strength also has less memory and better handling than other monofilaments in its class.

With superior knot strength and shock strength, Brute Strength is a very powerful line that delivers on the hook set.

Brute Strength is available in Clear/Blue Fluorescent and Lo-Vis Green. Offered in pound tests ranging from 6 to 40 pounds, Stren Brute Strength comes in 330-yard filler spools and 1⁄4-pound custom spools with an MSRP of $7.95-$15.95, depending on pound test and spool size.
